Nausheen was born in 2000 in Kushinagar, Gorakhpur and is currently 24 years old. She has cleared the UPSC Civil Services  Exam the toughest exam in India and secured All India Rank 9 in UPSC 2023 and she has made a name for herself by being one of the only Muslim candidates who have made it to the top 10 list in UPSC 2023 with All India 9th Rank.

Nausheen UPSC Topper lives in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh with her family, where she was raised in Kushinagar (Padrauna), UP. Initially she attended Ratna Memorial Public School in Gorakhpur for her schooling. Nausheen completed her intermediate studies in Science from the RAMPUS School in Rapti Nagar,Gorakhpur. 

Nausheen has shifted to Delhi to pursue her Graduation in Bachelor of Arts in History at Khalsa College, University of Delhi  and her father’s provided her a stable foundation for her aspirations. She has earned a gold medal in her graduation in B.A. (Hons) in History from SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi and her educational achievements reflect her dedication and passion for learning, shaping her civil services journey towards success in the UPSC.

Nausheen UPSC Topper’s journey is a testament of hard work and determination and after facing failures in her continuous attempts, she remained steadfast in her resolve and achieved All India Rank 9 in UPSC CSE 2023. 

Her dream was to be officer’s like IAS, IPS, and IRS, with a preference for Uttar Pradesh or Bihar and her preparation involved with dedicatedly 12-13 hours of daily study with smart study, focusing on strategic approaches for UPSC Civil Services Exam.

Nausheen UPSC Topper has opted History as an optional subject for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023 and her strategy for History in UPSC is likely to include an in-depth knowledge of important historical events with a critical analysis of historical points of view, & facts. Nausheen UPSC topper took her first attempt in 2019 UPSC prelims cleared  but during Covid lockdown but did not make it to the UPSC main exam and then she  tried again and she faced a lot of challenges in her next attempts and she did not pass the first attempt in her 3rd attempt which led to depression.

But her parents supported her and encouraged her to keep going. Finally, on her 4th attempt, she made All India Rank 9 in UPSC 2023 and she serves as a reminder of the importance of hard work.

Personal Life of IAS Nausheen

Nausheen was born and brought up  in Gorakhpur, Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh and her  education journey began at Ratna Memorial Primary School in Gorakhpur. Nausheen’s father plays an important role in Nausheen’s personal life as an Assistant Engineer  in a public sector company, providing an environment that supports her daughter’s UPSC journey and on the other hand her  mother is a homemaker. Her elder brother is an employee of Union Bank of India and Nausheen’s sister is an employee of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

Our joy is indescribable, it’s hard to explain. Up till now, we were reading interviews of girls who got 1st position , 2nd position , 3rd position , 9th position and 30th position  in the UPSC. Now we have a daughter who got 9th rank in UPSC 2023.

Family Contributions in her Success

Nausheen is a 24 year old young girl whose success has been made possible by her entire family. She is the youngest among three siblings and she has started her studies from Gorakhpur, her father was sending her to Delhi to study and her father had full confidence that Nausheen would become a successful person one day. Her mother recalled that during her childhood, she would sit down to study and would not even remember if she had eaten or drunk. Even after the family went to bed, she would keep reading, so the family overall had faith in her and motivated her throughout the journey of her in UPSC Civil Services.

Coaching Took For UPSC 

Nausheen is one of the 31 students who have qualified for the UPSC Civil Services Examination in the year 2023 from the residential coaching academy of Jamia millia Islamia (JMI- RCA)  and she is among the top scorer of the exam has credited her coaching institute and her friends for making her dream a reality.
